Chae Soo-bin, Nana, and Jisoo are set to captivate audiences as they transform into unique action heroines in the upcoming film 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint'.
Based on a novel that ran for over a decade, 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' tells the story of a world where the fictional universe becomes reality on the day the novel concludes. The film follows Kim Dok-ja, the sole reader, as he teams up with the novel's protagonist Yoo Joong-hyuk and other allies to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Chae Soo-bin, Nana, and Jisoo are ready to showcase their distinctive action skills and weapons, promising to capture the audience's attention.
Chae Soo-bin plays Yoo Sang-ah, a colleague of Kim Dok-ja (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) in the real world, who becomes his teammate in the novel-turned-reality. She is known for her practical judgment and warmth, using skills like mending broken bridges with thread and healing her allies. Chae Soo-bin shared, "Sang-ah's charm lies in her ability to support and uplift others." She emphasized her dedication to action scenes, stating, "I thoroughly prepared by learning basic physical and martial arts skills at an action school."
Nana takes on the role of Jung Hee-won, a character driven by a strong sense of justice. After a dramatic encounter with Kim Dok-ja at Geumho Station, she becomes a formidable force wielding the sword of justice. Her impressive action scenes, featuring dual daggers, are enhanced by her graceful movements, leaving a lasting impression. Nana revealed, "I dedicated about 4-5 months to action training, focusing on basic skills and physical conditioning. I worked hard to express the harmony of lines and strength with the daggers." She expressed her enthusiasm for action roles, saying, "Using my body filled me with energy. I want to become an action star."
Jisoo portrays Lee Ji-hye, a high school student who follows Yoo Joong-hyuk (played by Lee Min-ho) and believes only the strong can survive in the transformed world. Despite initially rejecting Kim Dok-ja's offer to join forces, she consistently proves her strength at critical moments. Jisoo commented, "There were many new action moves for me, but I trained consistently to portray them naturally."
'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' will be released in theaters nationwide on the 23rd.
