The popular South Korean dating show 'Divorced Singles 7' is set to premiere on July 20. Eun Ji-won, who recently announced his remarriage, will continue as a host, drawing attention from fans.
The show has gained credibility over the years, with past participants like Yoon Nam-ki and Lee Da-eun from Season 2, and Jimmy and Hee-jin from Season 4, sharing news of their remarriages and even welcoming children. Last year's Season 6 'final couples' Bo-min and Jung-myung, Si-young and Bang-geul, and Hee-young and Jin-young are still going strong, solidifying the show's reputation as a 'reality couple generator' that captivates viewers.
For Season 7, 'Divorced Singles' was filmed entirely in Australia. Joining the studio hosts from Seasons 4 to 6—Lee Hye-young, Yoo Se-yoon, Lee Ji-hye, and Eun Ji-won—is Lee Da-eun, a Season 2 participant who became a 'final couple' with Yoon Nam-ki and has since remarried and had a child. Her involvement is expected to bring a fresh perspective and empathy to the show, given her personal experience.
The show will return to its original time slot of Sunday nights at 10 PM, promising a mix of excitement and relaxation for viewers each week.
The production team stated, “With the trusted hosts Lee Hye-young, Yoo Se-yoon, Lee Ji-hye, and Eun Ji-won, and the passionate Season 7 participants eager for remarriage, Lee Da-eun is the perfect addition. She will act as a 'key player,' vividly conveying the participants' emotions at crucial moments.”
They added, “Expect spicier and more intense romances as the divorced singles search for their second spouses. Alongside the new romances, viewers can also enjoy the stunning landscapes of Australia in Season 7.”
Meanwhile, Eun Ji-won's agency, YG Entertainment, announced on the 12th, “Eun Ji-won recently took wedding photos and plans to have a quiet ceremony with close family and friends later this year. We appreciate your warm support.”
Eun Ji-won debuted with Sechs Kies in 1997 and married a judo athlete two years his senior in Hawaii in April 2010. The couple divorced by mutual agreement two years later.
