Ahn Hyo-seop, who plays the lead role of Kim Dokja, expressed his desire to portray a relatable ordinariness, stating, "I wanted to express an ordinariness that everyone can relate to." He shared his efforts to depict the growth of an ordinary office worker who rewrites the novel's ending alongside his companions. Director Kim Byung-woo noted that Ahn was the perfect casting choice because the character needed to embody both universality and specificity, heightening expectations for Ahn's portrayal of Kim Dokja. Kim Dokja is the only reader who has read the long-serialized novel 'Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World' to its end and decides to write a new ending where everyone survives, not just Yoo Jung-hyuk. Ahn's performance is anticipated as he embodies Kim Dokja, who uses his knowledge of the plot to break the scenario and move forward.

Lee Min-ho, who plays the novel's protagonist Yoo Jung-hyuk, shared, "The Yoo Jung-hyuk character needs to be realistic for the audience to find the journey of Kim Dokja and his companions convincing. I put a lot of thought into every action, gaze, and expression." Yoo Jung-hyuk is an immortal warrior with the ability to regress, possessing formidable combat skills that allow him to break the final scenario and survive. As Yoo Jung-hyuk, who has become cynical due to the harsh realities of repeated regressions and deaths, encounters Kim Dokja, audiences are eager to see the transformation he undergoes and the dynamic between him and Kim Dokja, portrayed by Lee Min-ho.

Chae Soo-bin, who plays Yoo Sang-ah, expressed her affection for her character, describing her as "the most realistic character who can be a stepping stone for others." Chae's charming and stable performance enhances the synergy among the characters. Shin Seung-ho, who plays the soldier Lee Hyun-sung, a steadfast protector of Kim Dokja and his allies, stated, "I focused a lot on expressions and gestures to convey the strength he provides to Kim Dokja. It felt like adrenaline was pumping to protect his companions." His powerful physical presence and nuanced expressions breathe life into the character, promising to leave a lasting impression on audiences with both intense action scenes and delicate emotional performances.

Nana, who plays Jung Hee-won, a character who spares no effort for justice, shared her experience with action scenes, stating, "The character uses a dagger as her main weapon, showcasing agile and spectacular action skills. The thrill of wire action was immense." Jisoo, who transforms into the high school student Lee Ji-hye, a quick-witted follower of Yoo Jung-hyuk, said, "I talked a lot about how Ji-hye has lived. I wanted to show that she is someone who navigates situations well," revealing her passion for developing Ji-hye's hidden backstory with the director. Kwon Eun-sung, who plays the boy Lee Gil-young with the ability to communicate with insects, shared, "Thanks to Dokja hyung's help, I survive and help clear the scenario. Gil-young's skill is communicating with insects," conveying his vibrant presence with humor.

Director Kim Byung-woo stated, "The basic context of the story is about ordinary people who meet by chance and solve problems together." He promised a dynamic and spectacular narrative as the characters unite to write a new ending where everyone survives.

'Omniscient Reader' is set to hit theaters nationwide on July 23.
