K-Pop Group Ihoteu's Members to Make Historic Appearance at Tokyo Idol Festival
Members Amu and Negi of the 'underground idol' group Ihoteu are set to make history as the first Korean team to advance to the finals of the Tokyo Idol Festival (TIF). Despite a recent controversy leading to a member's departure, Amu and Negi are determined to continue their scheduled activities as part of Ihoteu.

According to TenAsia's investigation on the 20th, Amu and Negi will participate in TIF, held in Odaiba, Tokyo, this August. The duo is slated to perform at outdoor concerts, engage in live-streamed talk shows, and participate in handshake events with fans. TIF is renowned as the largest and most prestigious festival for underground idols, and sources indicate that Amu and Negi are eager to showcase their talents.

TIF, first launched in 2010 by producer Kadosawa, who previously produced concerts for the Japanese idol group 'Idoling!!!', is the world's largest idol festival, featuring 45 groups.

Ihoteu was previously under EFG Music, a subsidiary of JDB Entertainment. Following a personal issue involving member Mina, the group's activities were halted. Although the contract with the agency ended, leading to speculation about the group's disbandment, Amu and Negi plan to fulfill their existing commitments with support from JDB Entertainment.

Ihoteu is part of EFG Music, a subsidiary of JDB Entertainment, which also represents well-known comedians like Kim Dae-hee and Kim Jun-ho. Recently, JDB Entertainment's CEO faced allegations of an affair with a girl group member, prompting his resignation.
