Singer Kim Jong-kook has unveiled the secret behind his recent cash purchase of a luxury villa worth approximately $62 million.
On the October 19th episode of KBS2's variety show 'Problem Child in House,' Kim Jong-min of Koyote appeared as a guest.
During the show, Kim Jong-min revealed that he has never owned a home since his debut. When asked, "Have you really never bought a house in nearly 30 years of broadcasting?" he replied, "That's right. I wasn't interested."
Kim Jong-min, who married a businesswoman 11 years his junior last April, discussed his financial management post-marriage, saying, "I review finances with my wife. I've disclosed all my appearance fees. If I want to invest, I have to discuss it with her. She's good at financial management." He added, "My wife suggested we buy a house as an investment."
Recently, Kim Jong-kook purchased a luxury villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, entirely in cash for about $62 million. When asked why he bought it now, he said, "I wasn't interested. I used to think, 'I can live in a studio apartment.'"
Kim Jong-kook further explained, "I never did any financial investments. I just saved money. I can't do it. I don't make money from investments."
