Korean television personality Jang Young-ran, who married traditional Korean medicine doctor Han Chang in 2009 and has two children, has recently purchased a luxury apartment in Seoul's upscale Seongsu-dong neighborhood.
According to recent reports from the real estate industry, Jang Young-ran and her husband Han Chang jointly acquired a 218 square meter unit in the prestigious Galleria Foret complex located in Seongsu-dong 1-ga, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, for approximately 9.45 billion KRW (around $7.9 million USD) in February this year.
Galleria Foret is a well-known high-end residential complex that houses several celebrities, including Han Ye-seul, Kim Soo-hyun, and G-Dragon. The registered maximum mortgage amount for the unit purchased by Jang and her husband is approximately 5.7 billion KRW (around $4.8 million USD), with the actual loan estimated to be around 4.8 billion KRW (around $4 million USD), nearly half of the purchase price.
Seongdong-gu, where the apartment is located, is not currently designated as a land transaction permit zone, and property prices in the area have been steadily rising. Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon has commented that while Seongdong-gu is not yet at the level to be designated as such a zone, it is an area that requires careful analysis.
Jang Young-ran, who tied the knot in 2009, welcomed a daughter in 2013 and a son in 2014, building a happy family. She actively shares her daily life through YouTube and social media and is currently hosting the Channel A variety show 'Please Take Care of My Grades: Teachers 2.'
