Choo Ja-hyun Shares Her Experience on Joining 'Gyeonu and Seonnyeo'

Actress Choo Ja-hyun expressed her thoughts on joining the cast.

On the 17th, an online press conference was held for tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonu and Seonnyeo'. The event was attended by actors Jo Yi-hyun, Choo Young-woo, Cha Kang-yoon, Choo Ja-hyun, and director Kim Yong-wan.

'Gyeonu and Seonnyeo' is based on a popular webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of a boy destined to die and an MZ generation shaman girl who tries to prevent it, capturing the fearless first love of eighteen-year-olds. The production team shared that the story of high school shaman Park Seong-ah (played by Jo Yi-hyun), who stands against fate for her first love, and Baek Gyeon-woo (played by Choo Young-woo), who defies destiny through the ordinary happiness she opens up for him, will deliver fresh excitement.

Choo Ja-hyun takes on the role of Yeom-hwa, a shaman who becomes a ghost to survive. This marks her return to cable dramas as a lead after three years since JTBC's 'Green Mothers' Club'.

On this day, Choo Ja-hyun said, "I had to keep my balance, but during filming, I was immersed in the trendy and fresh energy of my juniors. I worked hard to maintain my center. I learned a lot from my charming juniors while acting."

She continued, "I watched the highlight video, and it was fresh and lovely. But life isn't that easy. Their love doesn't go smoothly. I play a role that keeps them busy and troubled. I didn't know I would be stirring things up so much. Initially, I wanted to work with the director, but as the script developed, I found myself causing a lot of trouble. I acted in solitude," she said, bringing laughter.

tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonu and Seonnyeo' will premiere on June 23rd at 8:50 PM.
