'HI-FIVE' Tops Korean Box Office for 10 Consecutive Days

The film 'HI-FIVE' has claimed the number one spot in the Korean box office for 10 consecutive days.

'HI-FIVE' is a comedic action film that tells the story of five individuals who accidentally gain different superpowers through organ transplants and encounter those who covet their abilities. The movie stars Lee Jae-in, Ahn Jae-hong, Ra Mi-ran, and Kim Hee-won.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'HI-FIVE' attracted a total of 400,740 viewers from June 6th to 8th during its second week of release, ranking second overall in the box office and first among Korean films. Since its release on May 30th, when it immediately topped the overall box office, 'HI-FIVE' has been on a successful run, surpassing 1 million viewers by June 7th. During the second weekend, it drew even more audiences than the previous week, showcasing a strong box office performance. Despite fierce competition, the film's success is driven by positive word-of-mouth from actual viewers, leading to an upward trend in both box office performance and audience satisfaction, indicating a promising long-term success.

Audiences who watched the film expressed high satisfaction, saying, "It's entertaining, brilliantly directed, and even touches on family love! A chameleon-like movie," "It's cool, refreshing, and exhilarating. A perfect blend of three elements!" and "The ending is thrilling! The two hours felt short. Please make a sequel!"

'HI-FIVE' is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
