NewJeans member Hyein shared a heartfelt handwritten letter with fans on her birthday.
On the 22nd, Hyein posted a photo of her handwritten letter on the unofficial Instagram account she runs with her fellow NewJeans members. In the letter, she expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you so much for the birthday wishes." Hyein added, "Each of your letters was a great comfort to me. They were so precious that I wanted to reply to every single one."
Hyein also mentioned, "I was deeply moved by the birthday event organized by Bunnies (the fandom name). I had planned to visit places I couldn't go to today, but I couldn't because my stomach hurt so much. I'm truly sorry," she explained, adding, "I'm not lying. It suddenly hurt," expressing her regret.
In another letter, she wrote, "It's truly amazing that our very existence is part of Bunnies' daily lives. I believe Bunnies have given us more." Hyein emphasized, "I believe we can grow more by using this trial as nourishment."
Meanwhile, NewJeans announced the termination of their exclusive contract last November and began independent activities. However, on the 21st of last month, the court accepted a petition filed by ADOR to prohibit the group from signing new contracts, effectively halting their independent activities. The members' appeal against this decision was also dismissed. Consequently, NewJeans announced a suspension of activities last month and changed the name of their SNS account from 'NJZ' to 'mhdhh,' a combination of the members' initials.
