The highly anticipated film 'The Broker' has officially hit theaters today, October 16th, and it's already making waves by securing the top spot in pre-sale rates for five consecutive days across major theater chains.
'The Broker' is a gripping crime action film that weaves the stories of a broker orchestrating the drug trade in South Korea, a prosecutor aiming for higher power, and a detective dedicated to eradicating drug crimes. The film stars Kang Ha-neul, Yoo Hae-jin, and Park Hae-joon.
On its opening day, 'The Broker' has achieved an impressive feat by maintaining the number one spot in overall movie pre-sale rates for five days straight. According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, as of 7 AM on the 16th, 'The Broker' boasted a pre-sale rate of 38.7% with 77,453 tickets sold, signaling a strong start at the box office.
Notably, since October 12th, 'The Broker' has consistently held the top position in overall movie pre-sale rates. As of 7 AM on the 16th, it also dominated the pre-sale charts on major theater websites, including CGV at 44.0%, Lotte Cinema at 31.1%, and Megabox at 35.3%, indicating a promising box office performance.
'The Broker' is now showing in theaters nationwide.
