The music video, which features Rosé and Bruno Mars and has garnered attention for its witty visuals, surpassed 25 million views within 24 hours of its release. It has consistently held the top spot on trending videos and trending music charts in South Korea, proving its immense popularity. Additionally, it reached number one on trending charts in both South Korea and the United States, showcasing a remarkable global integration in the music market.
'APT.' was released as a pre-release single ahead of Rosé's official comeback on December 6th and will be included in her first full-length album 'rosie.' Upon its release, it achieved a 'PAK' (Perfect All-Kill) by topping real-time charts, daily charts, and the 'TOP 100' on major Korean music sites such as Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Vibe.
Furthermore, it secured the number one spot on Spotify's US chart and topped iTunes charts in 40 regions, proving its global phenomenon beyond Korea. It also reached number one on China's largest music site, QQ Music, demonstrating the widespread appeal of 'APT.' across the Americas and Asia. Notably, Rosé became the first Korean female solo artist to top the US Spotify chart and the Global Spotify Daily Top Song chart, marking another career high with this single 'APT.'
In response, Rosé expressed her gratitude, saying, "This song was naturally written while playing a game I enjoy with friends in the studio. 'APT.,' in which Rosé participated directly, is inspired by the widely known 'Apartment Game' in Korea. Rosé shared, "The 'Apartment Game' is a game I really like; it's simple, fun, and perfect for lifting the mood. One night, while working in the studio, I introduced the game to the staff, and as we enjoyed it together, the song began to take shape. Bruno Mars joined in, completing the track."
Meanwhile, 'rosie,' which includes the pre-release single 'APT.' and will be released on December 6th, is Rosé's first full-length album, featuring a total of 12 tracks, including the title track.
