Group Seventeen member S.Coups exerted a positive influence.
Their agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced on the 11th, "S.Coups donated 50 million won to Angels' Nest, a non-profit organization that shelters abandoned animals, on the 1st."
S.Coups' donation will be used for the care of animals living at the 'Angels' Nest' shelter, including hospital treatment and surgery costs.
In response, 'Angels' Home' said on this day, "We are truly grateful for S.Coups' good deed. Thanks to S.Coups' warm touch, the children were able to spend the cold winter warmly and healthily."
S.Coups is a well-known dog lover who raises his dog Kuma, and has shown special affection for his dog by appearing on KBS2's 'Dogs Are Great' and YouTube channel's 'Kang Hyeong-wook's Gast Show'.
In addition, S.Coups donated 30 million won to the animal rescue organization WEACT for rescue dogs from breeding farms last September and also gave names to puppies rescued from breeding farms.
'Angels' Nest' is a private shelter for abandoned dogs and cats, and is operated with support and volunteer activities from all walks of life, including individuals and organizations. It started as a no-euthanasia shelter and currently shelters about 200 dogs and cats. In addition, we are working to protect abandoned animals and improve awareness in order to create a society where the pet industry, culture, and welfare are harmonized.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN, to which S.Coups belongs, released its 11th mini album 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' on October 23 and has been actively promoting. In particular, Seventeen became the first K-POP artist to sell more than 5 million copies in the first week of release with this album.
