Song Kang once again saved Kim Yoo-jung.
In the 5th episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'My Demon', which aired on the 8th, the confusion of Guwon (played by Song Kang), shaken by unfamiliar emotions, was depicted. Gu-won, who felt heartbroken by Do Do-hee (played by Kim Yoo-jung), was confused by the emotions of encountering evil for the first time. Guwon, who started an irregular relationship with Do Do-hee without being aware of his feelings. Do-hee Do-hee, hurt by the sudden push, withdrew from the community of destiny.
And then came the crisis. Do Hee is in desperate danger after being attacked by a psycho killer. This time too, salvation appeared without fail. The ending of Do-hee and Gu-won's desperate eye contact, filled with relief and sorrow, raised the heart rate. The average viewership rating for the 5th episode soared to 3.6%, and the highest instantaneous rating was 6.9% (based on Nielsen Korea metropolitan area). The target 2049 viewership rating was 1.4%.
On this day, Gu Gu was caught up in confused emotions. He began to panic, surprised by his own heart pounding towards Do Do-hee. Guwon, who said that love is a trivial emotion that makes humans foolish, felt threatened by the unfamiliar emotions he felt toward humans. Guwon said that all these changes were due to the cross tattoo that was transferred to Do Do-hee, and dismissed it as a side effect of losing his abilities.
Do Do-hee was also curious about the sudden change in salvation. Do Hee, distraught at having to watch the confrontation like this, headed to the Sunwol Foundation to confirm her desire for salvation. However, contrary to expectations, Do Do-hee was taken aback by Gu-won's cold attitude. In response to Do Hee's question, "What did I do wrong?", Guwon drew a line by saying that there was a reason to be kind. After confirming that feeling, Do Hee left with a stern expression on her face, saying, “I think I made a mistake.” Guwon couldn't hide his complicated feelings as he asked his butler Park Bok-gyu (played by Heo Jeong-do) to take care of Do Do-hee's way home.
Suspicious movements by the Mirae Group family heightened the sense of crisis. The eldest son, Noh Seok-min (played by Kim Tae-hoon), was elected as acting chairman by threatening the board members. It was nothing short of a prelude to preventing Do Hee from taking office as president. Do Do-hee was in a hurry. The corruption of Mirae Group handed down by Joo Seok-hoon (played by Lee Sang-i) was difficult to report due to a lack of evidence, and it was not easy to find the killer. In a situation where nothing was resolved as planned, Do Hee felt helpless and became impatient.
Meanwhile, Do Do-hee and Gu Su-su's mutual distancing began. Guwon treated Do Do-hee in a businesslike manner, and Do Do-hee did not even look at her. Do Do-hee said that no matter what Gu-won does, she will not care, have no meaning, or be mistaken. Even though Guwon’s words really bothered him, he harshly responded, “That’s good.” However, Do Do-hee's precarious actions continued to irritate Gu-won. Guwon was angry at the quick decision to first register the marriage with the man she met. To Guwon's uncomfortable expression, "Are you really going to marry a guy like that?" Do Do-hee reacted coldly, saying, "What does it matter to you?"
The emotional conflict between Do Do-hee and Gu-won became increasingly sharp. Do Do-hee instructed Sin Sin-seo (played by Seo Jeong-yeon) to quickly prepare for the wedding. Guwon, who was watching this, stimulated Do Hee by saying, “I’m so annoyed that I can’t watch it.” Gu-won was angry with emotions that were difficult to explain, but he did not realize that Do-hee was the cause. Guwon held Do Do-hee's wrist and moved to where the wild dog faction was. Gu-won presents a montage of the killer to the wild dog faction Number Two (played by Jeong Soon-won) and threatens him to come find him.
Do-hee got angry and waved away his hand as Gu-won rushed forward with a deadly force. When asked why he was angry, Guwon said, "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have any problems. Because of you, I'm in a mess." Do-hee, who was hurt by this, said, "I'll let you go. Don't be my bodyguard," and Gu-won coldly turned away.
Do Do-hee faced a crisis right away. A gunman attacked Do Do-hee. Do Hee, who opened her eyes while hanging from the railing of a high-rise terrace, was overcome with fear. The gunman cuts off the curtain while Do-hee, who is terrified, whistles in satisfaction. At the desperate moment when the last piece of cloth was torn, salvation reappeared like a miracle. The ending, with Do-hee and Gu-won holding each other's hands and making desperate eye contact, made me even more curious about future developments.
The Mirae family's mysterious actions heightened the mystery. Noh Seok-min who is strangling Do Do-hee, Noh Do-kyung (played by Kang Seung-ho), whose true intentions are unknown, have a creepy twist, and Kim Se-ra (played by Jo Yeon-hee) seems to know something about the death of Joo Cheon-sook (played by Kim Hae-sook), adding to the sense of crisis. In particular, attention was focused on the identity of Abraxas, the person in contact with the mysterious killer.
