The Philippine version of ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’ (2018) starring Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young is released.
According to Asia's largest online video service (OTT) Viu on the 23rd, it will remake What's Wrong with Secretary Kim together with Philippine media company ABS-CBN. This is their second collaboration following the remake of ‘Flower of Evil’ (2020) starring Lee Joon-gi. It is scheduled to be introduced next year.
What's Wrong with Secretary Kim is the romance between vice president 'Lee Young-jun' (Park Seo-joon), who is full of self-love, and his secretary 'Kim Mi-so' (Park Min-young), who has been assisting him perfectly. Broadcast on tvN, it recorded a peak viewership rating of 8.7% (based on Nielsen Korea's nationwide paid households). The remake version will retain the charm of the original while adapting the narrative and characters to suit local culture. Maryen Lee, head of View, said, “We expect success not only in the Philippines but also in all markets.”
