‘Luxury docent’ Park Ki-woong meets Dubuffet, a master of French modern art. Today (2nd) at 9 PM, Naver Shopping Live ‘Dubuffet and Villeglejeon’ will be broadcast.
Dubuffet, along with Picasso, is the master of modern art that France is most proud of. He debuted as a painter at the late age of 41, and despite his somewhat late start, he devoted himself endlessly to his work, creating about 5,000 works by the age of 85.
He had a profound influence on contemporary art beyond France and throughout Europe. In this exhibition, the director of the French Dubuffet Foundation visits Korea and airlifts over 100 local works, allowing visitors to see Jean Dubuffet's works that could only be seen in France.
In addition, the works of Jacques Villeglet, who created a unique world of art through his interaction with Jean Dubuffet over a 25-year age gap, are also available. The exhibition will be held at the Soma Art Museum in Songpa-gu, Seoul until January 31.
Park Ki-woong, who is active as an actor and painter, is expected to show his unique perspective. Artist Park Ki-woong also did not debut as an official artist as quickly as Dubuffet, but as he is showing his own unique world of work, interest is growing as to what the world of Dubuffet's work looks like as he sees it.
'Park Ki-woong's Culture Live', which promotes 'a vivid online exhibition taking place in your home', is a program in which actor and writer Park Ki-woong introduces various exhibitions from his own perspective.
Since its first broadcast in May 2021, 'Culture Live', which will soon celebrate its second year on the air, is selling out tickets for each episode and breaking new records by combining Park Ki-woong's artistic sense and charm as an entertainer.
