'Spider's Nest' was set in the 1970s, when director Kim Yeol (played by Song Kang-ho), who believed that if he just changed the ending of the film 'Spider's Nest', which was already shot, would become a masterpiece, he pushed back on the filming at a scene where actors and producers who did not understand the censorship and changes were on the verge of going crazy. It is a work that depicts a story that is attached in a pleasant way.
In the play, Jang Young-nam played the role of Chairman Baek, the CEO of producer Shinsung Film. As a person who stands in opposition to director Kim Yeol, who is forcing re-filming of 'Cobweb', he played an active role in raising tension just by appearing.
Jang Young-nam showed off his presence by portraying Chairman Baek with solid acting skills among actors such as Song Kang-ho, Lim Soo-jeong, Oh Jeong-se, Jeon Yeo-bin, and Park Jeong-su. While showing a firm yet tough charisma, he also enriched the play by providing fun and tension at the same time through tiki-taka with the characters around him.
In addition, he was praised as a 'diction genius' by director Kim Ji-woon, and the audience's level of immersion increased as he digested the lines naturally and tastefully with catchy diction.
In particular, Jang Young-nam entered the Cannes International Film Festival for the first time through 'Cobweb' and is building a career without limits as an actor. Accordingly, attention is being paid to the progress of Jang Young-nam, who will convey his unique charm through more diverse works in the future.
Meanwhile, the movie 'Spider's Nest' starring Jang Young-nam is being screened to rave reviews in theaters.
