Elijah Lee, first musical challenge after debut
Actor Elijah Lee is attempting a musical for the first time since his debut.

Elijah Lee's agency, UB Management Group, announced on the 12th (Thursday), "Actress Elijah Lee will play the role of Lee Jeong-hwa in the Army's original musical 'Stand or Die, Nakdong River' and will fill the stage."

The musical 'Stand or Die, Nakdong River' presented by Elijah Lee (hosted by Army Headquarters/hosted by Haneul Ent) is the seventh original musical planned by the Army to commemorate the '70th anniversary of the ROK-US alliance' this year. It contains the story of those who defended the Nakdong River defense line, the fiercest battlefield of the Korean War, starting on August 15, 1950. It is the story of real people, General Wilton Walker (Army Captain Chuseo) and Mrs. Lee Jeong-song, and a fictional character, Private Kim Ji-woo.

Elijah Lee plays the role of Lee Jeong-hwa in the musical 'Stand or Die, Nakdong River', which will begin its first performance at the Gyeryong Arts Center on Saturday the 14th. Lee Jeong-hwa is a real-life woman named Lee Jeong-song, who walked 320km from the Nakdong River to Dabu-dong (Chilgok, Gyeongsangbuk-do) despite being pregnant to find her husband, Major Jang Woo-joo, who was separated from her during the war.

Elijah Lee, who has shown solid acting skills so far, is expected to leave a deep impression on the audience by transforming into Mrs. Lee Jeong-hwa, who has been on the brink of death several times but survives dramatically and is reunited with her husband after the South Korean army restores Seoul. Through this 'Stand or Die, Nakdong River', Elijah Lee will attempt his first musical and show a new side that is different from what he has shown so far.

The musical 'Stand or Die, Nakdong River', in which Elijah Lee appears as 'Lee Jeong-hwa', started at the Gyeryong Arts Center (October 14-16) at the Seoul Universal Arts Center to publicize the noble meaning of the 70th anniversary of the ROK-US alliance.
