In the 5th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Kkokdu's Season', which aired on the 10th, Kkokdu (played by Kim Jeong-hyun) searches for Hangye-jeol's (played by Im Soo-hyang) heart, while Hangye-jeol finds traces of Do Jin-woo (played by Kim Jeong-hyun) in Kkokdu. It aroused the anxiety of those looking for the bay.
After kissing Han Hane-jeol, Kokdu realized that his old name was Ohhyeon and that Han Hane-jeol was ultimately Seol-hee (played by Im Soo-hyang). Kokokdu's monologue, which felt emptiness in the reality that even though the love that returned for a long time was right in front of her, leaving her without even a single tremble, left a bitter aftertaste. However, Gokdu's actions, such as his heart beating violently at a single touch from Han Hane-jeol and his anger getting angry when he heard her say that he was attacked by someone, gave off a different atmosphere than usual, making us guess that another emotion was growing in him.
Eventually, it got to the point where Gokdu became obsessed with Han Je-jeol's lips and found her every action to be pretty. Confused as to whether he had some unsatisfied emotional buds left over from his past life, Kokdu soon made up his mind that it would all end once he heard Han Hane-jeol say that he loved him. Despite Gakshin's (played by Cha Cheong-hwa) warning about how he would handle the sorrow of Han Hanjeol when he would be left alone, he drew a line by saying, "The tears of Han Hanjeol belong to Han Hanjeol," spurring preparations for a proposal to escape the curse.
On the day of the proposal, I felt sincerity in the magic of Kokdu that turns the whole world into a magical place, which made my heart flutter. Following the steps of Hanjeoljeol, a refreshing breeze was created and the street lights were turned on one by one, presenting a romantic night. Just when everything was going smoothly, Tae Jeong-won (Kim Da-som), Do Jin-woo's ex-lover, appeared and Kokdu's proposal was put on the back burner.
Hangye-jeol, who predicted another indefinite wait for Kokdu, was shocked to hear that Tae Jeong-won was dating Do Jin-woo. However, Tae Jeong-won is the one who broke up the relationship between herself and her ex-boyfriend Jeong Eun (played by Lee Jeong-jun) in the past. Because she couldn't believe what she said, she countered by saying that she couldn't let Do Jin-woo go until he found his memories.
Han Hane-jeol, who had been pondering whether waiting for Do Jin-woo's memories to return was the right choice, faced another variable before he could shake off his worries. While Jeong Eden asked for help with a mysterious matter related to Park Chung-seong (played by Jeong Wook), he delivered a series of blows by asking if she had a boyfriend. Han Hane-jeol couldn't be any more shabby in front of him, so she declared that Do Jin-woo was her boyfriend, and ended up agreeing with the 'Do Jin-woo boyfriend theory' that was spreading widely.
However, Kokdu had no intention of helping her find Do Jin-woo's existence within him. In the end, Han Hane-jeol, who was humiliated in front of many people by Kkokdu's reckless confession, ended up stabbing him in the heart while continuing his drunken conversation, saying that Kkokdu was not real. The cold expression on Kokdu’s face as he replied, “The person you are seeing right now is the real me,” evoked regret as it showed the pain of waiting for only one person bound by an oath to protect him.
Han Hane-jeol, who had no way of knowing the power contained in his words, ignored Kokdu's assertion that "Do Jin-woo is not coming back" and said something he should not have said, "Mr. Kokdu, please disappear." As a result, Kokdu loses consciousness and collapses, causing Han Hane-jeol to panic. Episode 5 ended with a surprising surprise as Kokdu soon appeared in the desolate underworld.
