The main poster for the movie ‘Soulmate’ (directed by Min Yong-geun) has been released.
On the 16th, distributor NEW released the main poster for ‘Soulmate’. 'Soulmate' is the story of two friends, Miso (played by Kim Da-mi), Ha-eun (played by Jeon So-ni), and Jin-woo (played by Byeon Woo-seok), who recognized each other from their first meeting and shared everything together, including joy, sadness, excitement, and longing.
The released main poster for 'Soul Mate' contains a beautiful two-shot of Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-ni. It stands out with its visual, almost like a painting. The sight of them sharing earphones that remind them of that time seems to show the daily lives of two people who share everything.
Here, the copy 'You were always by my side' not only speaks of the inseparable relationship between the two, but also warms the hearts of viewers by reminding them of a precious friend. In particular, the expressions on Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-ni's expressions make you feel like their friendship is fresh and will never change.
The 'We Were Together' character video released along with the main poster gives a glimpse into the friendship of the three people as well as the story of the movie. Miso's words, "I want to live like a whirlwind for just 10 years and die when I'm 27," and "I'm going to take the Trans-Siberian Railway and see Lake Baikal first," literally show that she is a character with a free spirit.
Ha-eun's expression, which quickly breaks down in tears at Mi-so's words, and her response to Mi-so's suggestion to go on a trip together, "You know I can't fly," show her serious and quiet personality. Lastly, Jin-Woo's attentive and kind side can be seen in Jin-Woo's line of concern for Ha-Eun, who is having trouble moving due to blisters on her feet while going out to play in the forest.
While the story told by the three people reminds me of a conversation I had with an actual friend, the copy 'Do you think of me sometimes too?' seems to represent the viewers' thoughts. In addition, the videos that appear between copies show the three people not only during their school days but also when they became adults, raising curiosity about how they will change now that they are adults.
Meanwhile, 'Soulmate' will be released on March 15th.
