Yoo Yeon-Seok's 'Puppy' interview protagonist Minsu
On the morning of the 16th, Yoo Yeon-seok was interviewed about the movie 'Puppy' (directed by Kim Joo-hwan) at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Yoo Yeon-seok became a hot topic by not being able to control his emotions and shedding hot tears at the premiere of 'Puppy'.
On this day, Yoo Yeon-seok recalled the memory of interacting with the main character dog Rooney during the filming of 'Puppy'. He said, "The dog was not acting. The camera was capturing the dog interacting with me," and added, "It was very moving to see a close-up of the dog interacting with me on a big screen."
He continued, "I remember interacting with Rooney. When I cried, I felt the sound of his breathing change when I hugged him, but I never actually saw Rooney's face hugging me. And in the last scene of the movie, Rooney looked at me. “The fact that I recognized it and ran to it was touching in itself.”
Yoo Yeon-seok, a famous pet owner, also mentioned ‘check-in in Canada’. He said, "Lee Hyo-ri only met the dog, but it's sad. I'm sure many people felt the same way. It's not a provocative situation, and I don't need to cry, but I cry."
"I took children who were looking for adoption, and tried to send them to a better place for adoption, and then I found a good family. I ended up going there, and I was touched that the child remembered me. The journey to get to that place was also touching. "I don't know if it was because it felt similar to our movie for a moment, but it was great to go through the journey together."
‘Puppy’ tells the story of cousins Minsu (played by Yoo Yeon-seok) and Jin-guk (played by Cha Tae-hyun) who unexpectedly meet each other while on a journey to find the perfect owner for their beloved dog Rooney.
Released on March 1st.
