In the 14th episode of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Agency' (directed by Lee Chang-min/written by Song Su-han/provided by SLL/produced by How Pictures and Drama House Studio), which aired on the 19th, Go Ah-in's (Lee Bo-young) internal war was not over until it was over. Choi Chang-soo's (Jo Seong-ha) plan B to bring her down and become the next CEO of VC Planning is in full swing. First, Go Ah-in's mentor Yoo Jeong-seok, who was reinstated as a production team executive by Choi Chang-soo, was the first to suggest the disbandment of Go Ah-in's TF team at an emergency executive meeting. The reason was, “Putting only employees who fit together because they are comfortable at the moment will weaken the company’s growth engine.” Ko Ain could not refute even a single word of the logical argument that one must learn how to persuade team members with different opinions through logic, strategy, and creativity in order to ultimately persuade advertisers and consumers. Moreover, Yoo Jeong-seok gained the approval of CEO Cho (Park Ji-il) by driving a wedge by saying that since he had taught Ko Sang-moo this way in the past, he must have the same opinion.
To make matters worse, Go Ah-in also had a falling out with VC Group Vice President Kang Han-soo (Cho Bok-rae). When Kang Han-soo expressed his dissatisfaction with the appointment of Yoo Jeong-seok as an executive on the production team without consulting with him, who had the authority to appoint personnel on the production team, Kang Han-soo revealed his true colors. After hearing the news that his father, Chairman Kang (Song Young-chang), who no longer wanted his children to fight in war, would appoint him as Vice Chairman of VC Group, he no longer needed capable comrades. Kang Han-su warned Go Ah-in, who saw his true colors and turned around and said, “From now on, I will do whatever I want,” that he would regret it. However, Go Ah-in said, “Regrets are usually expressed by people who have a lot to lose. “Who has more to lose?” he countered. Strongly angry, Kang Han-soo mobilized all of his connections and stopped all VC Planning's advertisements in order to hinder the 50% increase in sales that Go Ah-in had promised. It was the moment when Choi Chang-soo's Plan A succeeded.
There was someone who rejoiced at this news: Kang Han-na (Son Na-eun). This was because it was an opportunity to make Go Ah-in, who had not taken sides under the instructions of Chairman Wang (Jeon Guk-hwan), the absolute power of the VC group, to “become a stressor” to his side. In a situation where Park (Junwoo Han), the only person on her side in the world, had left the company and was no longer there, Goain was the only card she could use. Kang Han-na, who visited Goa a month later, once again offered 'Give and Take' and extended her hand, saying, "I only have one sign saying, 'Chairman Yong-ho Kang's daughter, but use me.'" And immediately took action. He exercised the right to wish, which he won in a bet with Woowon Group vice president Kim Seo-jeong (Jeong Ye-bin), and restarted the suspended Woowon Group advertisement.
However, the influence of Kang Han-na, who had just become a new executive, and Kang Han-soo, the leading candidate for the next vice president of VC Group, was significantly different. Except for the Woowon Group advertisement, it was not possible to resume any more advertisements. In the end, Go Go visited CEO Cho and offered his resignation, saying, “I will resign as promised as I have not been able to achieve a 50% increase in sales within 6 months.” And despite the TF team's dissuasion, I started packing.
However, Representative Cho, who had resigned from the front line and called himself an 'old man in the back room', sitting in the representative position to fulfill his retirement age and saying that he was comfortable as he had no power and had nothing to worry about or conflict with, drew attention by announcing his participation in the war. After accepting Go Ah-in's resignation letter, he expressed regret, saying, "It's a shame that I lost my power for the first time in 10 years," and then added, "I still have work left to do. “I had a good rest,” he said and called someone. The fierce internal war that did not end until the end exploded expectations as to whether he would be able to turn the tide by empowering Goain. The final story of 'Agency', which has only two episodes left until the end, can be found on JTBC at 10:30 pm this Saturday and Sunday.
