Supermodels Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung's Emotional Journey to Paris Fashion Week
The emotional struggle of 50-something supermodels Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung as they challenge the world-renowned stage of Paris Fashion Week has been unveiled.
MBC's new reality show 'So-ra and Jin-kyung' captures the journey of first-generation supermodels Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung, who dominated the 1990s, as they return to the runway with the passion of their 20s. Lee So-ra, the winner of the first Supermodel Contest, and Hong Jin-kyung, the Best Pose Award winner of the second contest, both in their 50s, make a meaningful challenge at Paris Fashion Week.
The two then participate in actual auditions, embarking on their challenge. At 58, Lee So-ra and 50, Hong Jin-kyung face a rigorous audition process. The intense scrutiny from local officials observing their walk is nerve-wracking. Lee So-ra, holding onto hope with "It's not over until it's over," is met with Hong Jin-kyung's harsh reality check, "If they don't dress you, the audition didn't go well," drawing from her own experience challenging Paris in her 20s.
Throughout this process, they encounter unexpected limitations. Lee So-ra, feeling embarrassed after a mistake in front of the judges, sheds tears, while Hong Jin-kyung struggles with high heels, revealing the pressure and tension of this challenge.
The video ends with a late-night conversation between the two. After their much-talked-about reunion after 15 years in the first teaser, they continue to share their situations and support each other in this new challenge. All eyes are on whether these supermodels can overcome their limits and grace the Paris Fashion Week stage.
'So-ra and Jin-kyung' premieres on the 26th at 9:10 PM.
