Ahn Seong-ki's health is recovering after suffering from blood cancer
Actor Ahn Seong-gi (71), who is suffering from blood cancer, is recovering his health through regular exercise.

On the 24th, Ahn Sung-ki's agency, Artist Company, told Ten Asia about Ahn Sung-ki's health status, saying, "Mr. Ahn Sung-ki's health and condition have recovered significantly. I understand he is taking care of it by exercising regularly."

He continued, "He still loves movies, so he schedules responsibly for his roles, including film-related foundations. He also recently attended the Shin Young-kyun Arts and Culture Foundation event," and added, "He tends to keep his personal schedule related to movies within a reasonable range." He explained.

There are no plans for future acting activities. An official expressed his intention to return clearly, saying, "Nothing has been decided at the moment, but he is working hard to show a good performance as he really loves movies."

In an interview with Yonhap News published today, Ahn Seong-gi said that his health has recovered greatly and his hair is growing again. He also added that he continues to exercise for about an hour a day.

It was revealed that Ahn Sung-ki had health problems when he attended the 'Director Bae Chang-ho Special Exhibition' held at CGV Apgujeong in Seoul in September last year wearing a wig with a swollen face.

According to the agency, Ahn Seong-ki was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2019, began treatment, and was declared cured in 2020. However, it relapsed during follow-up and he had to battle cancer again for over two years.
