'Let's Live Together' Oh Mi-yeon revealed the reason why she immigrated to Canada.
Park Won-sook's best friend Oh Mi-yeon appeared on KBS 2TV's 'Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together', which aired on the 7th.
Oh Mi-yeon revealed her close relationship with Park Won-sook, saying, "Isn't the world scary? A true friend is someone who stays by your side when you're having a hard time." Oh Mi-yeon felt sorry for Park Won-sook, saying, "My sister has something like mask-like depression. She's happy in front of people, but gets sad when people see her." Then, "'Do you want to come?' “If I do that, I fall asleep in 30 minutes,” he said, making people laugh.
Oh Mi-yeon revealed that she suggested immigration to Canada to Park Won-sook during a difficult moment in the past. Oh Mi-yeon then recalled the situation at the time, saying, "My sister remarried, and she didn't seem happy. She talked less, and I thought something was up, but I had to ask her directly."
At that time, Park Won-sook faced a major crisis in her life, to the extent that all her assets were subject to seizure due to the bankruptcy of her ex-husband's business. Oh Mi-yeon, who heard about Park Won-sook's situation through people around her, added that she repeatedly suggested, "Let's go to Canada."
It is said that Oh Mi-yeon immigrated to Canada after suffering from various problems, including a traffic accident and robbery that were serious enough to give up her broadcasting activities. Oh Mi-yeon recalled, "It was a big accident. It was when I gave up on standing in front of the camera." He continued, “I was worried about immigrating after being involved in a car accident, a robbery, and other things.”
After Oh Mi-yeon decided to go to Canada, Park Won-sook was left alone, and Oh Mi-yeon, who was upset about that, confessed, "I felt so bad." He continued, “At that time, there was about a year left on the rental contract, but I gave it to my sister.” Park Won-sook was grateful, recalling, “It was a new 49 pyeong apartment in Ilsan.”
It is said that after experiencing a car accident in 1987, Oh Mi-yeon became particularly concerned about her health. At the time, Oh Mi-yeon was four months pregnant, and due to a car accident, she underwent major surgery that required 600 stitches on her face. After a long recovery period, Oh Mi-yeon returned to the drama ‘The Tree Where Love Blossoms’ for the first time in three years. Oh Mi-yeon, who resumed her acting career after enduring six major surgeries, said, "Overcoming hardships has become a great lesson in my life." In addition, after the accident, he showed a resolute attitude, saying, "I am now able to empathize with other people's pain," and "I am not scared or afraid of my future life."
