Comedians Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-joon went on a thrilling trip to Laos.
On KBS 2TV's 'Battle Trip 2', which aired on the 11th, travel designers Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-joon introduced a backpacking trip to Laos called the 'Yonghae Tears Tour' under the theme of 'Southeast Asia travel for 500,000 won for two people.'
Kim Hae-jun said, "It was my first backpacking trip, a trip to Southeast Asia. I was very excited. I can confidently say that I traveled very comfortably and comfortably with only 500,000 won." Yongmyeong Kim said, “There is charm in simplicity,” raising expectations for the Laos itinerary.
The two people were excited about the backpacking trip from the start and could not hide their excitement in the car leaving for their accommodation in Vientiane. They arrived at the hostel while practicing Laotian, and experienced the true taste of backpacking by looking at dormitories.
Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-jun rented a motorcycle as a means of transportation. Kim Yong-myeong expressed his excitement about driving a motorcycle, saying, “I asked my wife to buy one, but she said no because it was dangerous.” The first place the two visited was the Patuxai Independence Monument, known as 'France in Laos'. The two people who arrived at Patuxai, which was inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and the Champs-Élysées, were impressed by the harmony of French style and local culture. Kim Hae-jun recommended, “You must definitely come here when you come to Laos.”
The next place was temples where you can feel the long history of Laos. Kim Yong-myeong, who continued to sing on a moving motorcycle, watched the video in the studio and expressed his deep emotions, saying, “I still vividly remember that scene,” and “I feel like I went there yesterday.” Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-joon, who arrived at Ho Phra Kaew Temple, saw couples taking wedding photos and exclaimed exclamation at the sight of the splendid and magnificent temple.
As the sun set, Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-jun enjoyed the nightlife of Vientiane. The two people who visited Jub Dad Buffet, a local restaurant, were surprised by the cost-effective menu that cost less than 5,000 won per person, and tried a variety of foods while enjoying unlimited refills of Laotian-style grilled food and shabu-shabu Sin Dat. In particular, Kim Yong-myeong danced with a glass of beer and adapted to the local environment, saying, "I'm from Laos."
After finishing their meal, Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-jun spent a day in the dormitory and then left for the second city, Luang Prabang. Those who took the train at the newly opened Vientiane Station in December 2021 visited Kuang Si Waterfall, the center of Luang Prabang's nature. As I passed through the entrance, the forest path unfolded at a glance, and I was surprised to even meet a wild Asiatic black bear.
Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-joon's senior and junior Tiki Taka also brought laughter. As it was a cost-effective trip, Kim Yong-myeong saved money and showed his salty side. In response, Kim Hae-joon stuck his tongue out, saying, “This part doesn’t go well with you, senior.” However, Kim Yong-myeong was adamant about Kim Hae-joon's spending throughout the trip, making people laugh.
At the end of the broadcast, Kim Yong-myeong and Kim Hae-jun visited Kuang Si Waterfall. While the two people and other panelists continued to express exclamations, Kim Yong-myeong said, “This is the tip of the iceberg.”
