The movie ‘Suzume’s Lockdown’ exceeded 1 million viewers on the 6th day of its release.
According to distributor Showbox Co., Ltd. on the 13th, 'Suzume's Lockdown' attracted a cumulative audience of 1,000,051 as of 12:30 p.m. that day.
This is the fastest record among movies released in 2023 compared to 'Negotiation' (7 days), 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania' (8 days), and 'The First Slam Dunk' (14 days).
In addition, 'Suzume's Lockdown' has not only maintained the top spot at the box office for five consecutive days since its release, but also maintains first place with a real-time advance reservation rate of 31.8% (as of 1 p.m.).
Director Makoto Shinkai and Nanoka Hara, who voiced the main character Suzume, thanked the audience for their enthusiastic support and also released a thank you photo for exceeding 1 million.
