Park Hyeong-sik and Park Shin-hye appear as doctors in 'Doctor Slump'
'Doctor Slump' has confirmed the casting of Park Hyeong-sik, Park Shin-hye, Yoon Park, and Gong Seong-ha and begins filming.

JTBC's new drama 'Doctor Slump' (directed by Oh Hyun-jong, written by Baek Seon-woo, produced by SLL and Hijieum Studio) is about the cardiopulmonary resuscitation of Yeo Yeong-woo (played by Park Hyeong-sik) and Nam Ha-neul (played by Park Shin-hye), who hit a brake after only running on an upward curve in life. It is a romantic comedy about energy. The process of two 'disliked' rivals who reunite in the darkest time of their lives becoming each other's light brings laughter, excitement, and warm comfort. I am already looking forward to seeing how the happy revival of these people who have been together through the brightest and shabbiest times will be portrayed.

Above all, the meeting of Park Hyung-sik, Park Shin-hye, Yoon Park, and Gong Seong-ha excites drama fans in itself. In particular, the chemistry between Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye, who reunited 10 years after 'The Heirs', is expected to be the best point to watch. Here, director Oh Hyun-jong, who showed sensuous and detailed directing in 'The Man in Memory' and 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo', and writer Baek Seon-woo, who boasted witty writing skills in 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim', work together to stimulate anticipation.

Park Hyung-sik plays the role of Yeo Jeong-woo, a star plastic surgeon who falls into the worst slump of his life. From his school days where he was the top student in the entire school, to the best medical school in the country, to becoming a 'star doctor' with both skills and personality, Yeo Yeong-woo's life has been truly solid. However, due to a mysterious medical accident, he is pushed to the edge of a cliff. There is great anticipation for Park Hyung-sik's romantic comedy, which has undergone endless transformation. He said, “I’m both nervous and excited because it’s been a long time since it’s a romantic comedy. “I’m happy and looking forward to meeting and working with actress Park Shin-hye again after a long time,” he said, expressing his special feelings. He continued, “I think it will be an even more interesting work because we have a director and writer who ‘believe and watch.’ I am happy to be able to bring laughter and emotion to the viewers. “We sincerely ask for your interest, love, and support.”

Park Shin-hye returns as Nam Ha-neul, an anesthesiologist suffering from burnout syndrome. Nam Ha-neul, who was called a genius from birth, became obsessed with studying with his brilliant mind and hard work, and even after becoming a doctor, he became an adult who was crazy about work. One day, while living an 'uninteresting' life and not knowing how to do anything other than study and work, he suddenly looks back on his life, which has become completely ruined, and pledges to change. Park Shin-hye said, “I think everyone encounters a slump in their lives. I sympathized with the character ‘Nam Ha-neul’ because I tend to worry a lot about how I can overcome those moments wisely and live healthily. “I felt a sense of kinship with the situations he faced, so I was more moved by it,” he said, adding, “I will work hard in filming so that I can convey comfort to many people who are tired of life.” Park Shin-hye's passionate performance, which will depict a special romance blooming in a slump, is more awaited than ever.

Yoon Park plays 'Bin Dae-young', a plastic surgeon with a pretentious attitude. A person who has a sense of rivalry with Yeo Jeong-woo, a popular college classmate, but understands him better than anyone else. He's full of bravado and has a lot of pride, but you can never hate him. We are looking forward to Yoon Park's unique transformation, which will add to the fun of the drama by going back and forth between seriousness and slyness. Yoon Park said, “I am very much looking forward to meeting great directors and actors through this work. I will prepare well to create an enjoyable drama. “I hope it ends well without any major incidents until the end,” he expressed his sincere thoughts.

The addition of Gong Seong-ha, who attracted attention as 'those who read the hearts of evil', also adds to expectations. Gong Seong-ha plays the role of Lee Hong-ran, an obstetrics and gynecology anesthesiologist and Nam Ha-neul's best friend. A person who is a classmate of Nam Ha-neul from college to his time as a major, and becomes strangely intertwined with Bin Dae-young (played by Yoon Park), who has many similarities despite being different. Seongha Gong said, “I am grateful and feel a sense of responsibility for entrusting me with the role of ‘Lee Hong-ran,’” adding, “I want to put all my heart into creating a good work with precious people with the bright energy of this character. “Please look forward to Kong Seong-ha’s ‘Lee Hong-ran’,” he said, full of excitement.
