A still containing the sweat, passion, and youth reminiscent of a real game in the movie 'Rebound' (directed by Jang Hang-jun) has been released.
On the 16th, distributor Barunson E&A released the ‘Rebound’ still. 'Rebound' is a miraculous story of 8 days during the 2012 National High SchoolBasketball Tournament, in which a new coach and 6 players of the weakest basketball team that no one paid attention to worked tirelessly.
The released still captures the exciting, realistic moments of the game on the court with a thrilling sense of tension. Ki-beom (played by Shin-young Lee) takes the opportunity to score and advances toward the goal, Gyu-hyuk (played by Jin-woon Jeong) dribbles powerfully, Soon-gyu (played by Taek Kim) perseveres through a rough fight, and Kang-ho (played by Geon-ju Jeong) tries his best not to miss the ball. From Jae-yoon (played by Kim Min), who strengthens his resolve with serious eyes, to Jin-wook (played by Ahn Ji-ho) who calmly fires shots, the passionate energy and fighting spirit of the Busan Jungang High School basketball team is visible, as they play each game with extraordinary determination and passion regardless of position.
They were the weakest team, clumsy at everything and difficult to unite, but their fantastic team play, which grew through twists and turns, also caught the eye. They stand in line and make quick attacks, and they stand shoulder to shoulder and instill confidence and support in each other. Even though their stamina is depleted after repeated games, the Jungang High School basketball team shows an unwavering will.
As you can see from the stills, the overwhelmingly immersive game scenes that make you feel like you are watching a real game were created through the sweat and effort of director Jang Hang-jun and the actors. Director Jang Hang-jun thought that "game scenes are very important" as it is a sports movie, and the actors also practiced basketball to improve their individual skills before filming to add vivid reality.
By looking up game data and watching basketball games together, we learned our natural form and worked together as a team through camp training. Lee Shin-young said, "I feel like I practiced basketball every day," and Jeong Jin-woon said, "I worked hard to become a team." Expectations are high that you will experience the liveliness and realism of riding together.
Meanwhile, 'Rebound' will be released on April 5.
