Interview with Park Sung-woong from the movie ‘Woongnam’
Actor Park Sung-woong mentioned Jung Woo-sung, who made a special appearance in the movie ‘Woongnam’.
On the 20th, Park Seong-woong told various stories related to the upcoming movie 'Woongnam' (director Park Seong-gwang) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
'Woongnam' is a comical action film in which a man with a special secret called Asiatic Black Bear uses his unique beast-like abilities to cooperate in an investigation against an international criminal organization.
In the play, Park Seong-woong plays Woong-nam, a former police officer and now an unemployed local man, and Eung-buk, the second-in-command of an international criminal organization.
On this day, Park Seong-woong said, "I originally thought of (special appearance) Ma Dong-seok. I have never done anything one-on-one with Dong-seok. He is a world-class character. (The production company) asked me if I could play Ma Dong-seok, so I spoke on the phone and asked if I could play Ma Dong-seok. “I was wondering who I could ask, but it was Jung Woo-sung, who had made a special appearance in ‘Hostage’ and had just finished filming ‘Guardian’ with Hwang Jung-min.”
He continued, "Honestly, I did 'Guardian' because of my friend, director Jung Woo-sung. Since there was something he did for me, I asked the staff on set. They voted, 'Hwang Jung-min or Jung Woo-sung?' The staff members were all young people, so they all chose Jung Woo-sung. So Jung Min. "I talked to this guy first. He got a call the day I returned from filming 'Suriname'. He said I had to practice for the performance," he added.
Park Seong-woong said, "I wasn't able to talk, but during the last scene, (Jung Woo-sung) received a text message. He asked, 'What are you doing, Actor Park?' He said, 'I'm working hard on filming.' Then he said, 'Please call me when you can.' He said, “I think cool people speak cool. He said, ‘I heard you need an extra?’”
Also, “I said, ‘The day after tomorrow,’ and he said, ‘Wait a minute, I think I can go.’ So I shouted hurray. It wasn’t even a fuss. I wanted (Jung Woo-sung) to look funny. I asked Jung Woo-sung why he did that. I told him to do something normal. “They filmed a normal version and a funny version and told us to use it ourselves. We liked it better.”
Meanwhile, 'Woongnam' will be released on the 22nd.
