In the 10th episode of SBS's 'Model Taxi 2', which aired on the 25th, the 'Rainbow Model Taxi Team' was shown engaging in diverse team play to truly educate a devil-like doctor who only thinks of patients' lives as an excuse to make money.
Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon) played an active role in relieving the victims' anger by carrying out an operation that went back and forth between doctors and patients in order to find out the criminal method that Director Ahn had carefully hidden. Kim Do-gi brought the team members together after putting the head of the administrative department to death. The Rainbow Five, who infiltrated every corner of the hospital, displayed team play. He secretly transported a critically ill patient, forged documents and made Director Ahn donate all of his assets, and planted evidence of medical law violations throughout the hospital before filing a complaint. He also made his accomplice, Manager Gong, surrender. Director Ahn cleverly exploited a blind spot in the medical law and made sure that he was severely punished by the medical law.
However, rather than showing signs of reflection, Director Ahn dreamed of opening a clinic after changing his name again. Dogi, who confirmed Director Ahn's greed, which seemed to be an incurable disease, subdued him by force and administered an anesthetic, saying, "I will take care of that incurable disease and perform an operation." Kim Do-gi completed the true education of ‘an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth’ by having him lie down on a cold operating table and experience the same fear as the patients whom Director Ahn had betrayed.
'Model Taxi 2', which has reached its turning point, is continuing its box office run even further in the second act. 'Model Taxi 2', which started with a viewer rating of 12.1% from the first episode, ranked first in its time slot nationwide with 17.7%, and first overall among all programs broadcast on Saturdays. This figure surpasses the highest viewer rating of Season 1, Episode 6 (April 24, 2021), which was 16.0%.
'Model Taxi 2' is captivating the hearts of viewers with its intense and sophisticated action and humorous moments scattered throughout. The rainbow team's punishment and revenge, led by Lee Je-hoon, on evildoers from all over society will blow viewers' minds. The fast-paced retelling of the relatable material also immerses viewers.
Lee Je-hoon's colorful secondary character play is also a factor driving viewership ratings. Since Season 1, he has been giving enjoyment to viewers by portraying realistic characters such as new employees, teachers, shamans, and patients with long hair. Lee Je-hoon freely goes back and forth between comedy and seriousness. It is said that for the scene where he took off his top in prison, he went through strict diet management and intense exercise with the strong mindset that it was the last time he would take off his top as an actor.
The sight of the Rainbow Team executing revenge through perfect team play provides catharsis. This is why viewers are already saying they are looking forward to season 3.
