Producer Hwang Ji-young, who led MBC's entertainment show 'I Live Alone', and producer Jang Ho-gi, who presented Netflix's survival show 'Physical: 100' earlier this year, are leaving MBC.
An MBC official told Ten Asia on the 11th, "It is true that PD Hwang Ji-young and Jang Ho-gi left MBC."
Producer Hwang Ji-young directed ‘I Live Alone’ from 2017 to 2021 and led it to its heyday. 'I Live Alone' spin-off show 'Women's Secret Party - Yeo Eun-pa' starring Park Na-rae, Hwasa, and Han Hye-jin was also presented in 2020. Producer Hwang, who left MBC, plans to work as CEO of the new entertainment label of Imagineers, a content production company founded by Choi Jin-hee, former CEO of Studio Dragon.
Producer Jang Ho-gi presented the hot and controversial survival entertainment show 'Physical: 100' in collaboration with Netflix earlier this year. Producer Jang, who joined MBC in 2015, directed the current affairs and culture program 'PD Notebook'. He also directed ‘Haha Land’, ‘The Fake You Believed In’, and ‘Special Human Research Institute’.
