Jin Goo and Gong Seung-yeon, Jeonju International Film Festival opening ceremony MCs


Actors Jin Goo and Gong Seung-yeon will serve as MCs for the opening ceremony of the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival.

According to the Jeonju International Film Festival Secretariat on the 14th, Jin Goo and Gong Seung-yeon were selected as emcees for the opening ceremony of the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival, which will be held at the Moakdang, Remnants of Korean Sound Culture on the 27th.

The opening ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. with a red carpet guest entrance followed by a performance by the World Taekwondo Federation demonstration team, an opening declaration by Organizing Committee Chairman Woo Beom-ki, welcome speeches by Co-Executive Chairman Min Seong-wook and Jeong Jun-ho, an introduction to 'J Special: Programmer of the Year', and each competition section. It will proceed in the order of introduction of the judges.

The opening ceremony of the Jeonju International Film Festival will conclude with a screening of the opening film ‘Tori and Rokita.’ Director Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne's 'Tori and Rokita' is a work that tells the story of alienated immigrants, a young boy and an adolescent girl, set in a Belgian city, and marks the director's first visit to Korea.

Meanwhile, the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival will be held in the Jeonju Film Street area from the 27th to May 6, starting with the opening ceremony. Over 10 days, 247 films from 42 countries will be screened. 38 Korean short stories can also be viewed online.
