No. 72 Jindo Ssitgimgut training training assistant Song Sun-dan revealed that she received divine help for her daughter and singer Song Ga-in.
Song Soon-dan and Song Ga-in appeared on TV Chosun's 'Star Documentary My Way', which aired on the 16th.
On this day's broadcast, Song Soon-dan said, "I also dreamed of becoming a singer, but I couldn't do it and ended up becoming a shaman. Still, I taught my children because I wanted them to be able to go to college."
He added, "I couldn't teach my children just by farming. I spent the money I earned over the year on my children, including monthly rent, key money, and living expenses. If I didn't practice shamanism, I couldn't teach my children no matter how talented I was."
Song Ga-in's father said, "The children's mother made it all. I was the only one who walked around on the surface. I went out to the fields, worked, had a drink, etc. The (kids') mother did all the cleaning up. What I tell the children is, 'If it's not my mother, you'll have nothing to do with it.' “I say, ‘It couldn’t have happened like this,’” he said.
Song Ga-in said about her mother Song Soon-dan, "I think my mother's will to live hard, her passion, and her attachment to her children were stronger than others. I think she had a strong will and desire to work hard and raise them well in any way possible."
It is said that Song Soon-dan once sold a ritual and gave money to Song Ga-in. Regarding this, Song Ga-in said, "I felt bad. I felt like I was taking away the shrine that my mother wanted to build. I was in a hurry, so I sold it at a loss. I felt very bad at that time. I am doing twice that much for my mother. I am proud. “I can do more than what my mom did,” he said with a smile.
Song Sun-dan is now famous as Song Ga-in's mother, but she was famous in Jindo. He was a master of Jindo Ssitgimgut, Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 72. Song Sun-dan said, "In the past, there was a funeral ceremony in Jindo. When a person passed away, many portraits were put up in the house. We performed a rite and held Cheondojae." He continued, "I started feeling sick when I was one year old after giving birth to my daughter (Ga-in). I was so sick. I couldn't even eat because of the pain. I was so sick that I couldn't even get up and drink water. People told me to get my fortune checked because something was strange. I went to get my fortune checked, and a new patient came in. “He said,” he confessed.
Song Soon-dan said, "(My) mother passed away in an unexpected accident at the age of 45 while building a shrine. She said it will be passed down to me because my mother passed away without being able to do it. She said that if I don't do it, my daughter will inherit it. If you don't do it, my daughter will inherit it." “They said I had to accept it and accept it, so I accepted it,” he explained. But my husband was against it. Song Soon-dan tried to persuade her husband.
