Singer and actor Ong Seong-wu enlists in the military.
Ong Seong-wu will enter the recruit training center on the 17th, receive basic military training, and then fulfill his national defense duties as an active-duty soldier.
Previously, the agency Fantagio said, "The recruitment ceremony for the recruit training center will be private and no separate official event will be held. We ask that you refrain from visiting to minimize congestion on the site on the day of enlistment."
Ong Seong-wu held a communication broadcast with fans ahead of his enlistment on the 14th. He revealed his bald head and said, "I shaved my head hard. As soon as I cut my hair, I turned on the live broadcast to greet you all."
He continued, "I've never had my hair cut this short in my life, so I was very curious about what it would be like. I wondered how I would feel, but it was more surprising and new than the feeling of a big change in my mind," and added, "I feel like my mindset has become a little stronger and I'm more determined."
Ong Seong-Wu expressed his feelings about enlisting, saying, "I will work hard, enjoy it, and come back cool, reliable, and stronger. I will do a great job with the same dignity as you have trusted me."
Meanwhile, Ong Seong-wu received a lot of love as a member of the group Wanna One through Season 2 of Mnet's 'Produce 101'. Afterwards, he was active as an actor, appearing in dramas such as JTBC's 'Moment of Eighteen' and 'The Number of Cases'.
