At this time, an old gentleman who appeared as a guest looked for wine to go with his pork ssambap. However, Baekban House only sold Korean alcohol. The old gentleman was puzzled, pointing to the wine bottle on display and saying, “Isn’t there usually wine there when it’s like this?”
In response, part-timer Simone promoted makgeolli, saying, "Our alcohol is Korean, but it is very similar to Italian alcohol. It is sweeter and more delicious. It tastes like a mixture of red wine and sparkling wine." In the end, the old gentleman ordered makgeolli, but he only drank water and pointed out, "I can't drink this. It doesn't make sense. It's too sweet to drink as an accompaniment."
After being taken aback by the unexpected claim for a moment, John Park listened to the customer and suggested a refund. However, the old gentleman refused and advised, “I just wanted to say that it is strange to run a restaurant without wine and beer.”
