Baek Jong-won, claims and refunds broke out on the first day of opening

A claim situation broke out at Baek Jong-won's restaurant. An Italian customer pointed out that makgeolli is not a good drink to have with food.

The tvN entertainment show 'Business Genius Baeksajang', which aired on the 30th, featured Baek Jong-won, John Park, Yuri, and Lee Jang-woo, who opened the first Korean restaurant in Naples, Italy.

On this day, the members went to work at 8 a.m., four hours before the funeral. Baek Jong-won said, “Today’s goal is 30 servings. As the president, I will have a company dinner when everything is sold out. “If I can’t sell it out, I’ll have a one-on-one meeting with the president,” he said.

When a Korean restaurant opened, Italian residents started talking about him, saying, “He is said to be a famous chef in Korea.” Simone, a part-time worker, stood in front of the store and explained things to people who were curious. However, when there were no guests, Baek Jong-won said, “You can prepare tomorrow or dinner before the guests arrive. “If you do it, a routine will develop,” he said calmly.

When no customers came in even 30 minutes after opening, Baek Jong-won advised them to post a picture of the menu outside. In the end, the first customer came 37 minutes after opening, and Baek Jong-won said, “We have to seat them near the entrance. “Sit down in a spacious place,” he said, guiding the guests. Also, when there were no customers, Baek Jong-won changed the part-time worker into casual clothes and fed him.

At this time, an old gentleman who appeared as a guest looked for wine to go with his pork ssambap. However, Baekban House only sold Korean alcohol. The old gentleman was puzzled, pointing to the wine bottle on display and saying, “Isn’t there usually wine there when it’s like this?”

In response, part-timer Simone promoted makgeolli, saying, "Our alcohol is Korean, but it is very similar to Italian alcohol. It is sweeter and more delicious. It tastes like a mixture of red wine and sparkling wine." In the end, the old gentleman ordered makgeolli, but he only drank water and pointed out, "I can't drink this. It doesn't make sense. It's too sweet to drink as an accompaniment."

After being taken aback by the unexpected claim for a moment, John Park listened to the customer and suggested a refund. However, the old gentleman refused and advised, “I just wanted to say that it is strange to run a restaurant without wine and beer.”
