An appeal against the publication of an essay written by actor Baek Yoon-shik's ex-lover is scheduled to proceed.
According to the legal community on the 22nd, Mr. Seo, the representative of the essay publishing company, submitted an appeal to the Seoul Central District Court on the 19th.
Previously, Mr. A, a former reporter at a broadcasting company, announced that he and Baek Yoon-shik were dating in 2013. At the time, the age difference between the two was over thirty years. After that, they broke up in the same year, and the relationship between the two led to a lawsuit.
Mr. A revealed through a press conference, "Baek Yoon-sik dated another woman." However, in the course of the damages lawsuit, Mr. A apologized to Baek Yoon-sik and the case was settled.
The problem is that Mr. A published an autobiography about his relationship with Baek Yoon-shik. In the autobiography, the 'private life' between the two was written. In response, Baek Yoon-sik filed an injunction against the publisher who published the autobiography. In April of last year, the court accepted this. Then, the trial on the merits began, and the first trial court sided with Baek Yoon-shik.
In the first trial, it was ordered to delete the part where Baek Yoon-sik raised a problem, and to recall and destroy all autobiographies that had already been sold.
