Baek Jong-won collapsed even in second place in industry sales
tvN 'Cheap Genius White Sandy Beach' The first Korean restaurant 'Baekbanjip' since the beginning of Naples became a big success, and sales rose steeply. It was enough to look up to the top in sales, but Baek Jong-won, a 'business genius', couldn't laugh. It was because the system of 'Baekbanjip' began to collapse, and complaints from customers continued.

In the 8th episode of tvN's 'Business Genius White Sandy Beach' (directed by Lee Woo-hyung), which aired on the 21st, the 4th day of the business of 'Baekban House', which was on the right track, was drawn following the mukbang of Naples soccer hero 'Kim' Min-jae Kim. At the long-awaited visit of Kim Min-jae, Baek Jong-won and Lee Jang-woo, John Park, and Kwon Yu-ri stopped what they were doing and came out with socks to welcome him. For Kim Min-jae, who usually goes to a Korean mart in Milan, 750 km away to cook Korean food, Baek Jong-won served 'Baekbanjip's signature menu, 'Jeyuk Ssambap Meal' and chicken gangjeong. Kim Min-jae, who ate Baek Jong-won's life-giving meat full of affection, couldn't hide his smile, and ate deliciously with admiration, "It's different," and emptied the bowl clean. After the meal, a commemorative photo was taken as a group, and the intended purpose of actively using Kim Min-jae for promotion and marketing of 'Baekbanjip' was also achieved.

And the long-awaited fourth day of business. First, Baeksajang and the staff checked the sales status of the previous day. As a result, the sales of 'Baekbanjip' nearly doubled again. In addition, with a turnover of 951 euros, it rose to second place among five competitors. It was the result of a difference of only 38 euros from the undisputed No. 1 Italian restaurant selling authentic Neapolitan pizza. Accordingly, Baek Jong-won encouraged the employees with the goal of becoming number one in sales.

Expecting more customers, Baek Jong-won ordered to make a waiting list, and both part-timers who worked in shifts went to work. Then, as a model, he produced a Kalguksu mukbang video. It was a promotional video to teach guests how to enjoy it deliciously, following Yuri Kwon's 'Yukssambap' mukbang. Lastly, the secret menu, 'Osam Bulgogi', was newly launched, and preparations for an infinite run toward the top in sales were completed.

As expected, guests flooded in. There were customers waiting even before the opening, and the waiting continued one after another. In addition to word-of-mouth marketing by customers who visited for 3 days, a reporter customer who visited on the 3rd day of business in the last 7 times actually published an article about 'Baekbanjip' in the local media and started to become famous. It was a part that could confirm the locals' keen interest in the first Korean restaurant since the history of Naples.

However, as the number of customers increased and it became hectic, a problem arose. Unlike Baek Jong-won, a 'business genius' who skillfully copes with the influx of orders and cooks up large quantities of dishes without hesitation, the employees and part-timers who were 'beginners in the business' fell into a group 'mental breakdown' (mental collapse) and were confused. The hall and kitchen did not operate smoothly, the waiting line was endlessly long, and customers expressed their dissatisfaction as ordered menus were not served or were served incorrectly. Even after the customer left, there was a situation where the waiting customer directly removed the outdoor table that had been neglected for a long time.

In response, Baek Jong-won reflected on himself, saying, "I shouldn't have been greedy." It was judged that the customer was overreacted without considering the immaturity of the employees and part-timers out of greed for the top spot in sales. However, this is not an easy problem to overcome in a short-term business. The next story about how the 'business genius', who always came up with flashing solutions, would deal with this crisis further exploded expectations.

tvN's 'Business Genius Sandy Beach' is broadcast every Sunday at 7:45 pm.
