On the 29th, according to movie data site IMDB's audience rating by country, 'The Little Mermaid' scored 6.3 points out of 10 in the United States. It also scored poorly in the UK at 5.9, Brazil at 5.8, Canada at 5.7 and Mexico at 6.3.
On Naver's rating page in Korea, there are not a few viewers who gave it a score of 1 out of 10, along with negative comments such as "I can't immerse myself in it at all."
Despite the low star rating, the box office performance is not bad. According to Box Office Mojo, a movie box-office statistics site, the film has recorded ticket sales of 117.5 million dollars (about 156 billion won) in the United States since its release on the 26th, and 185.80 million worldwide. It earned $10,000 (about 246 billion won).
