According to the distributors Avio Entertainment and Plus M Entertainment on June 1, the movie 'Crime City 3' mobilized 740,874 people (accumulated audience number of 1,224,215) on the first day of release based on the daily box office on May 31 of the Korea Film Commission's integrated computer network.
This is faster than the opening record of 467,483 for the prequel 'Criminal City 2', which was the highest box office hit in 2022 and set a new record for the highest box office hit during the pandemic. It is also a record of more than 682,701 people at the opening of 'Myeongryang', which was released in 2014 and achieved the highest box office record among all Korean films.
