An appeal against rapper Boatman, who was arrested for illegally filming and distributing photos of his ex-girlfriend, is scheduled to be held.

On the 8th, the 1st Criminal Division of the Seoul District Court will hold the first appeal trial for a boatman arrested for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming using a camera, etc.).

The boatman is accused of secretly filming the body of victim A, who was dating in 2018, and spreading the photo in a group chat room. The boatman was sent to the prosecution for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes. However, in the process, serious secondary damage occurred, such as the identity of Mr. A being forcibly exposed.

Afterwards, the 6th detective of the Seoul Western District Court (Judge Kim Yu-mi) sentenced the boatman to 1 year in prison in the first trial held on the 12th of last month, completed a 40-hour sexual assault treatment program, and restricted employment at child and youth institutions and welfare facilities for the disabled for 3 years each. etc. have been ordered.

The boatman filed an appeal through the law firm Jihyeok one day after the sentencing, and the prosecution also submitted an appeal.

The boatman submitted more than 40 statements of apology to the court for this case, and petitions that far exceeded 100 pages. In addition, the victim deposited 20 million won for the purpose of compensation without the victim's knowledge, and complained of living difficulties during the trial.
