'Drunk driving in Jeju' Kwak Do-won, 10 million won summary order... 'Fireman' warehouse escape? "Not determined"
Actor Kwak Do-won (real name Kwak Byeong-gyu, 50), who is accused of drunk driving, was fined 10 million won for drunk driving.

According to the legal community on the 19th, the 8th detective of the Jeju District Court (Judge Kang Mi-hye) issued a summary order of a fine of 10 million won to Kwak Do-won, who was recently briefly indicted for violating the Road Traffic Act (drunken driving). Previously, the police had charged such an amount. A summary order is a procedure for issuing fines, etc., in writing without going through the trial process.

Kwak Do-won was caught sleeping in a car while sleeping in a car on a road near Eoeum Elementary School in Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si on September 25 last year at 4:00 am. After receiving a report from a resident that the car was not moving, the police found Kwak Do-won sleeping in the car and took a breathalyzer test. At the time, the place where Kwak Do-won parked the car was a single-lane one-way road.

The blood alcohol level was 0.158%, which is higher than the license revocation level (0.08%). It was investigated that Kwak Do-won traveled 11km from a bar in Geumneung-ri, Hallim-eup to an intersection near the Bongseong-ri office in Aewol-eup.

At the time, Kwak Do-won's agency Mada Entertainment officially apologized, saying, "I feel responsible without any excuse. I apologize for causing concern and once again sincerely apologize for causing controversy."

On the other hand, 'Firefighter' (director Kwak Gyeong-taek) starring Kwak Do-won was originally listed in the lineup for release in the second half of 2022, but was unable to come out of the world due to Kwak Do-won's drunk driving. An official related to the release date of 'Firefighter' said, "We are not planning to release 'Firefighter' this year," and "Nothing has been decided."
