On the 20th at 11:00 a.m., a press conference for the movie 'Smuggling' (Director Seung-Wan Ryoo) was held at Lotte Cinema in Konkuk University, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

On this day, Kim Hye-soo and Yum Jung-ah were so happy to be offered to appear in “Smuggling,” in which two women lead the narrative, each said, “It’s so good,” and smiled, saying that breathing was good.

Kim Hye-soo said of Yum Jeong-ah, "I found out that she is a much better actor than the actors I know, and she filled in many of the aspects I lacked."

Kim Hye-soo, who looked back at the time of the filming, confessed that she had a panic disorder while filming the movie 'The Thieves', and said that she was very afraid before acting in the 6m underwater set of 'Smuggling'. He even felt panic when he saw the video or the set being filmed underwater. Kim Hye-soo looked back and said, "Before the actual filming, the actors were watching the 6m underwater set, and panic came.

He said, "The actors went into the water one by one, and they did so well. I was so excited and cheered while watching it, and then I got out of the panic. It was a very strange experience." I'll do it later,' and he was considerate. I was able to get out of the panic and act perfectly while adapting," drawing attention.

Yeom Jeong-ah also revealed that she was sternly engaged in this work, saying, "I was afraid of water, but I had a greater desire to do this work."

On this day, Kim Hye-soo praised Jo In-sung's appearance and made the hall into a sea of laughter. When Jo In-sung said that the action in this movie was different, he said, “I practiced a lot this time compared to other works. But this time, under the director's confirmation, I filmed the action in detail. This time, I mainly use my hands rather than my feet."

Kim Hye-soo, who heard this, said, "Jo In-sung is good at action, but the best of Jo In-sung's action is his face. Actually, I was surprised that the action was so cool, but every time I saw Jo In-sung's face, he was so cool. He is the face of the best action. Especially, his eyes are I like it," he praised Jo In-sung's good looks, drawing attention. In response to Kim Hye-soo's compliments on her appearance, Jo In-seong was shy, but responded wittily, saying, "Look at (my face) a lot," making the hall burst into laughter.

Kim Hye-soo smiled, saying that she was happy and grateful that a female-centered movie came out. He said, "Except for OTT or dramas, there are relatively few female-centered films and projects on the film side. I was grateful that such a work was being planned, and I was happy that it was commissioned by me."

"However, it's not a movie that is only focused on female narratives. I thought I was grateful for Jo In-sung and Park Jung-min's empowerment, but in reality it's not. It's the story of all of us, and the biggest thing I realized while doing this movie is our identity. is a team, and it was a work that imprinted my identity as a team member.”

Kim Hye-soo said, "I have high expectations because it is a commercial film that can communicate the genre that Director Ryu can do best with the greatest number of people, and it is such a work centered on a female narrative."

On this day, when asked why he had to watch 'Smuggling' in theaters, director Ryoo Seung-wan said, "It's because we work on everything on the premise that it will be screened in theaters." He drew attention by saying, "I work on the premise of a big screen in a theater when I'm doing actors' acting, emotional lines, shooting method, and fine-tuning the screen and sound. I've never imagined watching my movie on a mobile phone."

Still, director Ryu said, "The times have changed and the way audiences treat movies has changed, so
It may not be possible to blindly stick with it, but from the viewpoint of the creator, there is still a belief that the intention of the creator can be conveyed 100% only when the viewer is in the theater.” He recommended going to the theater, adding that sharing is a cinematic experience that cannot be felt at home.

'Smuggling' depicts a maritime crime action drama in which a life-long battle unfolds in front of haenyeo who make a living by rescuing daily necessities thrown into the sea and get caught up in it.

'Smuggling' will be released on July 26th.
