Ahead of the release, director Christian Petzold's visit to Korea has been confirmed. Director Petzold arrives in Korea on September 1st and attends the media distribution preview of 'Afire' scheduled to be held on the same day. After brief greetings, they plan to attend various events before leaving the country on September 7th. CGV Art House is also preparing for the director's visit to Korea, announcing the 'Director Christian Petzold Exhibition', which will screen seven of his representative works.

Director Christian Petzold began to draw attention with his feature debut film 'The Country I Belong' in 2001, then won the Silver Bear Award (Best Director) at the Berlin International Film Festival for 'Barbara' (2012), 'Phoenix' (2014) and 'Transit' (2018). It was selected as one of the 'Top 5 Foreign Language Films' by the National Board of Critics. Then, she won the Silver Bear Award (Best Actress Award) at the Berlin International Film Festival for 'Undine' (2020).
