Solji Seeks Redemption in High-Stakes '2026 Korea-Japan King of Singers' Showdown
Solji is set to take on Japan's reigning champion, Bon Inoue, in a high-stakes 'revenge match' to secure a victory for South Korea.

In the upcoming episode of '2026 Korea-Japan King of Singers,' airing on the 5th, Solji will captivate audiences from the opening with her dazzling, glittering outfit. The celebrity judging panel reminisces about Solji's transformative performance in a pink glitter outfit during the 'Current King 3' competition, saying, “Seeing Solji in glitter, she’s going to turn things around today.”

Solji faces Bon Inoue in a decisive 1-on-1 showdown in the third and final round, seeking redemption after a first-round defeat. Bon Inoue, boasting an undefeated record, declares, “I will become the goddess of victory,” to which Solji responds, “Victory won’t come easy,” heightening the tension. Solji, choosing the challenging rock ballad 'Tears' by So Chan-whee, expresses her determination, “I’ve been sharpening my skills for this rematch with Bon. The time has come. I will lead Korea to victory.”

Solji delivers a powerhouse performance, showcasing her vocal prowess and intense choreography, embodying the essence of an original K-idol. As Bon Inoue captivates with his charisma and unique style, all eyes are on whether Solji can avenge her previous loss and secure a win for South Korea.

Meanwhile, Yudai, who has shown admiration for Solji since their first encounter in the preliminaries, stands up as soon as her performance begins, drawing attention. Shin Dong-yup’s question, “You stood up, didn’t you?” leaves viewers curious about Yudai’s response.

Additionally, Lyn, known for her 'crybaby' nickname from the 'Current King 3' judging, is moved to tears once again during the 'Korea-Japan King of Singers.' Watching the pivotal third-round performances by the Korea-Japan TOP7, Lyn is overwhelmed with emotion. Kangnam’s comment, “Why are you crying again, sis?” captures Lyn’s emotional moment, sparking curiosity about which performance moved her.

The production team promises, “After the first two rounds ended in a draw, the Korea-Japan TOP7 are pulling out all the stops for the decisive third round. Expect an explosive display of energy.”

MBN's '2026 Korea-Japan King of Singers,' produced by Crea Studio, is the world’s only Korea-Japan music competition, featuring the TOP7 from 'Current King - Gahi (Japan Edition)' and South Korea's 'Current King 3,' battling for national pride and honor.
