Heartfelt Advice from Seo Jang-hoon to a Couple Battling Cancer on 'Ask Anything'
TV personality Seo Jang-hoon offers heartfelt advice to a couple facing a heartbreaking situation.

On the 363rd episode of KBS Joy's 'Ask Anything', airing on the 4th at 8 PM, a 33-year-old husband diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and his 31-year-old wife share their emotional story.

The couple first met on a blind date in 2020 and quickly fell in love, leading to a swift marriage. They enjoyed a blissful honeymoon traveling across the country until the husband experienced sudden abdominal pain, leading to a stage 2 pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Fortunately, the cancer had not spread to other organs, allowing for immediate surgery. However, the husband struggled with rehabilitation due to pain until he was motivated by the news of his wife's pregnancy. Determined to support his family, he committed to treatment and recovery.

The husband endured 12 rounds of chemotherapy and preventive treatments, losing over 30kg in the process. Despite the challenges, he persevered, inspired by thoughts of his wife and child, and was eventually told that all tumors had been removed, allowing him to dream of a normal life again.

The couple enjoyed happy times traveling with their child and even planned for a second child, envisioning a future as a family of four. However, a follow-up examination earlier this year revealed the cancer had returned and spread to the peritoneum, resulting in a stage 4 diagnosis.

The wife, emotional, shares how their young children still look for their father at the door. The husband expresses his regret, saying, "I wanted to be a father who could give my children lots of love, but I couldn't."

Seo Jang-hoon, upon hearing their story, advises, "This is not the time for such talk. While children are important, it's crucial to focus on overcoming the cancer recurrence." He continues, "I believe that with a desperate heart and effort, you can change the future. Let go of negative thoughts and fight with determination," offering encouragement that moves everyone present.

Meanwhile, the 363rd episode of 'Ask Anything' airs on the 4th at 8 PM and will be available on major online platforms like YouTube and Facebook after the broadcast.
