Former Baseball Star Yang Joon-hyuk's Cafe Achieves Impressive Daily Sales

Former baseball player Yang Joon-hyuk and his wife have revealed that their cafe is generating daily sales of approximately 5 million won.

On the October 3rd episode of KBS2's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears', Jeong Ji-seon visited Yang Joon-hyuk's business in Pohang with her son.

Yang Joon-hyuk manages the first-floor seafood restaurant, while his wife, Park Hyun-sun, runs the second-floor cafe. Park is dedicated to the cafe, developing drink menus and even baking bread herself. After tasting the drinks and bread, Jeong Ji-seon expressed her delight, saying, "It's delicious."

Yang Joon-hyuk explained the reason behind opening the cafe, stating, "I thought it would be nice for customers to enjoy a cup of coffee after dining at the seafood restaurant."

The cafe opened in April 2025. Park Hyun-sun mentioned, "During the yellowtail season, we get a lot of customers, and in the summer, the nearby famous beaches boost our sales significantly." She added, "On weekends, we make around 3 to 4 million won, and during vacation season, the cafe alone can reach daily sales of 5 million won."

Jeong Ji-seon was impressed, commenting, "Isn't that a lot?" Yang Joon-hyuk and his wife nodded in agreement, acknowledging that it is indeed a significant amount. Yang Joon-hyuk noted, "My wife handles almost all of the cafe operations." Park Hyun-sun humorously added, "He tells me to earn and spend it myself."
