Jin Tae-hyun Criticizes 'Horsepower Couple' on 'Divorce Retreat Camp'

Recently, Jin Tae-hyun, who announced his departure from 'Divorce Retreat Camp,' expressed his disbelief after watching a video of the 'Horsepower Couple' husband's household survey, stating, "I don't understand."

On the April 30th episode of JTBC's 'Divorce Retreat Camp,' the counseling solutions for the 'Eggplant Couple' and the story of the 21st season's second couple, the 'Horsepower Couple,' were revealed.

In the counseling session, Lee Ho-sun asked the 'Eggplant Couple' husband questions related to his family, such as "What is your wife's favorite food?" and "Who is your first child's best friend?" The husband failed to answer any of them. Lee Ho-sun advised him to prioritize his family and remember important dates like birthdays and anniversaries.

When asked if he could quit gaming, the husband replied, "I can quit right now," but Lee Ho-sun expressed skepticism, saying, "I don't trust you." She advised the wife to focus on positive memories rather than painful ones, and the wife vowed not to make any extreme choices again.

The household survey of the 'Horsepower Couple' was then conducted. The wife's video depicted a husband who prioritized his own life, drinking over 20 times a month and exercising six times a week, while the wife managed work, childcare, and household chores. Expressing her dissatisfaction, the wife said, "A father of three doesn't act like this," to which the husband responded, "The life I aspire to is not one of unconditional sacrifice," causing the hosts to chuckle. His patriarchal remarks, such as "A man is the pillar of the house," and "The husband works outside, the wife does housework," shocked everyone.

Seo Jang-hoon commented on the husband's reckless drinking habits and bringing friends home at 2 AM, saying, "He thinks he can do whatever he wants because it's his house." Park Ha-sun, unable to hold back, called it "nonsense philosophy." Even Jin Tae-hyun, who was on the same side, admitted, "I've seen many scenes, but I really don't understand. I can't support him," shaking his head.
