Tension Rises as Kim Sung-soo Confronts Park So-yoon's Longtime 'Guy Friend' Dong Hyun-bae on 'Groom Class 2'

On the upcoming episode of Channel A's 'Groom Class 2', airing on the 30th at 10 PM, Kim Sung-soo meets Park So-yoon's longtime 'guy friend' Dong Hyun-bae, sparking jealousy and tension.

In the 7th episode, Kim Sung-soo, who is currently preparing for a play, invites actress Park Sang-myeon and Dong Hyun-bae for dinner, with a surprise appearance by Park So-yoon.

While on a date with Park So-yoon, a show host 12 years his junior, Kim reveals that his next project is a play with intense themes and a love line. Park So-yoon jokingly responds, "I guess I won't be watching it then," showing a hint of jealousy. Kim cautiously asks, "How would you feel if your boyfriend starred in a melodrama?" Park firmly replies, "If he was with me, it would be tough. I'd nip it in the bud." Kim humorously adds, "Luckily, I'm more into 'affairs' than deep romance," making Park burst into laughter.

Later, Kim rides with Park So-yoon to the rehearsal venue. After practice, Kim, along with co-stars Park Sang-myeon and Dong Hyun-bae, who is also the older brother of Big Bang's Taeyang, heads for dinner. Kim reveals, "Dong Hyun-bae is Park So-yoon's longtime 'guy friend', and he even called during our date earlier. I want to confirm their relationship today," creating a tense atmosphere.

Soon, Park So-yoon joins the dinner, leading to a three-way confrontation. As Dong Hyun-bae casually chats, Kim asks, "So, you really had no feelings for So-yoon all this time?" Curiosity peaks as Dong Hyun-bae's response is awaited. Park So-yoon reveals, "It's been a while since I drank with Dong Hyun-bae. Didn't we drink together on my birthday?" showing their close bond. Studio mentors Lee Seung-chul, Tak Jae-hoon, and Song Hae-na express secondhand tension, questioning, "On your birthday, really?" Kim, visibly flustered, casts a suspicious glance, prompting both to deny any romantic involvement. Kim jokingly remarks, "Why do you both deny it the same way?" adding to the humor.
