Comedian Shin Gi-ru Opens Up About Grieving Her Mother's Passing
On the 29th, a video titled 'Holding Back Tears While Eating Iron Plate Chicken (Update and Gratitude)' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Anything with Gi-ru.' In the video, Shin Gi-ru appeared in front of the camera for the first time in about a month and cautiously began to speak.
She said, "It's been a month since I last filmed, and I've been through a major event," adding, "My mom was sick, but I didn't expect her to pass away so soon." She continued, "I was shocked and struggled, wondering if I could return to work. I found myself crying without reason," she recalled.
She also detailed her immediate actions following her mother's passing. "At first, I tried to hold back tears, but it became overwhelming, so I went to Sokcho alone," she said. "Both my body and mind were in pain, and by the second day, it was unbearable. I visited a hospital and extended my stay."
In conclusion, she said, "This isn't something that gets better with time; it's an emotion I have to carry with me," she conveyed calmly. "Still, I'm enduring each day."
