Netflix's YA Horror Series 'GIRIGO' Climbs to Global Top 10 in Just Three Days
'GIRIGO' tells the story of high school students who receive sudden death predictions due to a cursed wish-granting app. The series, released on April 24th, has garnered 2,800,000 views (calculated by dividing the total viewing hours by the show's runtime), earning it a place in the global TOP 10 non-English shows. It has also entered the TOP 10 lists in 37 countries, including South Korea, Mexico, India, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE, and Turkey, showcasing its worldwide popularity.
The behind-the-scenes images contrast the show's eerie vibe, capturing the youthful and lively spirit of the cast on set. Stills of Jeon So-young, Kang Mi-na, Baek Sun-ho, Hyun Woo-seok, and Lee Hyo-je gathered in front of a chalkboard exude warmth and camaraderie, resembling real high school friends. The image of Kim Si-a and Choi Joo-eun posing together hints at their strong chemistry, which brought 'Hye-ryeong' and 'Si-won' to life.
'GIRIGO' is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
